  • John HEFFRON STAND-UP LIVE AZ

Last comic stand winner May 16th Stand-up Live Az One NIght Only
Grab some co-workers and come out. Hump-day date...night.

AWARD-WINNING COMEDIAN JOHN HEFFRON PERFORMS AT Stand-up Live AZ May 16th

As seen on NBC’S Last Comic Standing (winner), Comedy Central Presents, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, HBO, Chelsea Lately, The Late, Late, Show, Gene Simmons Family Jewels

You know comedian John Heffron better than you think. The Michigan native is a sort of Midwestern everyman, and folks across the country around the world easily relate to his brand of comedy. If you’re a guy he could very well be you, and if you’re a gal, he could be your husband or boyfriend. Or he could just as easily be your brother, your neighbor, or perhaps all of the above. “People know me and like my act because I’m clean,” he explains. “I don’t get too political. I don’t think people want to pay money to see me fake madness at the political system.”

Instead John concentrates on the domestic side of life. “I’m at that age where I don’t have kids yet,” he says, “but I’ve mathematically figured it out. I’m in my early forties, so even if I had a kid yesterday, when that kid moves out of my house I’m going to be sixty-six, and two weeks later I’ll have to move back in with him. I might have mistimed a few things.” From tales about bar hopping in his twenties, to dangerous things we all did as kids, to interactions with his “shift supervisor” (his wife), John Heffron offers comedic insights that connect with audiences everywhere.

  • Greg Lake

    Greg Lake

Greg Lake is embarking on a world tour, "Songs of a Lifetime", an intimate autobiographical...musical journey in song and story. Included are many of the best-known songs from Emerson Lake and Palmer and King Crimson, along with story-teller style commentary by Greg about his entire life and career. Based on a successful tour in 2010, where Greg interacted with the audience to tell them stories, sing songs and answer questions, there has been great demand for a repeat performance where the freedom and intimacy of the format allows for a different, intriguing show at each venue. The audience is taken on a journey through the legend's life and times in such a way that they feel as if they are part of the journey. The carefully selected song list will also feature songs by other artists that have influenced Lake's musical career over the years. Unique recollections of such greats as Ringo Starr, Jimi Hendrix, and Elvis are skilfully woven throughout the performance. Greg's dialog with the audience throughout the show creates moments of high impact and contrasting personal intimacy, all of which have been the hallmark of Lake's career. Containing everything from humour right through to moments high drama, all elements combined to give the audience an intimate insight into one of the most outstanding and recognisable voices of our generation. This rare and intimate performance is a crowd pleaser. Greg Lake notes: "There is no doubt about the fact, that both in terms of the theatre and in the musical arts, the concept of performing an intimate and autobiographical show presents a huge challenge. My experience of this format last tour was so invigorating still gives me a thrill every time I think about it. So intriguing were the shows on the last tour, that I could not help but think about repeating the experience and giving audiences an even more in depth look at my musical influences and sing to them as I tell them about the songs. The questions...
